Jeffrey Wright is a true multi-disciplinary creator—a musician, singer, songwriter, author, and visual artist whose life is deeply intertwined with the roots of storytelling. As the driving force behind Jeffrey Wright Music, the founder of the group The Way Backs, and the visionary creator of LEAP, Jeffrey has built a creative ecosystem centered on connection and entertainment.
His musical journey began at home, rooted in a rich generational love of music. Growing up, Jeffrey’s family would spend hours playing together, passing down the timeless foundations of Classic Country. It was during these formative years that he mastered the legendary catalogs of icons like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, John Denver, and Willie Nelson—artists who fundamentally shaped his authentic, story-driven sound. An engaging entertainer, Jeffrey’s passion for the stage has taken him from countless solo shows to multiple featured performances with the Great Northern Opry. Music truly pulses through three generations of the Wright family; a milestone moment came in August 2021, when Jeffrey, his father, and his daughter were featured on the front page of Sault This Week, capturing a powerful image of a musical legacy in motion and a career gaining rapid momentum. As a songwriter, Jeffrey has been capturing the human experience since the age of fifteen, when he penned his very first song, "Mustang Home"—a poignant track inspired by the real-life struggles of those experiencing homelessness. Since then, his catalog has expanded into a diverse collection of country songs, including the deeply personal "Reach for Me (My Son)," the heartfelt "I'm Begging You Please," and the uniquely captivating "Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson." Jeffrey's creative expression, however, refuses to be confined to a single medium. He is also an established landscape oil painter whose vibrant interpretations of nature are held in collections across Canada. Whether he is painting a canvas, authoring his compelling book series Chains of Kings, or taking the stage with his guitar, Jeffrey Ivan Wright's work is bound by a singular mission: to entertain, to move, and to inspire. A Message from Jeffrey Wright
There are many people I would like to thank that have supported me in many ways. I would like to thank Jaime Jacques for his dedication to the band and his exceptional skills, along with the countless hours of support towards our performances. I want to also thank Jacob Valois and Brendan Bertrand for their hard work perfecting the music for our shows and always pushing the music further. George Wright has been a great resource and I want to thank him for stepping up becoming my Manager. He has always supported me through it all. I would like to thank Hayden Jackson at H. J. Audio and Technology for making every show sound amazing. I also want to thank my wife and kids for tolerating the immense amount of time and energy it has taken me to produce these shows and pursue a career in music. They are my inspiration to continue and become the best version of myself. I want to thank my audience for supporting my shows. I love the cheers of the crowd!
